About us

Many of our students have really struggled with education so Pathways has to offer an alternative to 'mainstream' provision.  The staff work hard to re-engage them with learning, through practical sessions, highly structured support, and real life work experience.

The Pallet Project is a fantastic way of learning through enterprise with the reward of being able to earn real money.

Who we are

Steve Wilkins is the head tutor for Pathways Construction

Meraud Davis is the Learning Mentor for Pathways Construction

Sharon is a Teaching Support Assistant in the Construction department.

      Pathways

Students on the Pathways construction course explore a range of carpentry and building  skills which will enable them to go on to further training or employment. Past students have gone on to study further courses, including level 1 and 2 plumbing and maintenance or have gained employment.

Pathways gives our students a routine and focus that they may have previously struggled with.  Steve, head construction tutor, and Meraud, learning mentor, guide them through work skills,  preparing them for work and applying for jobs.

Our students produce high quality imaginitive work and prove themselves to be committed and resourceful.
